Providing Dog Support
My name is Celene, and I founded "Take Your Sniffs Dog Walking" out of a lifelong passion for helping humans and dogs improve behaviour and connection. As a dedicated dog lover and owner of a Giant Irish Wolfhound, my passion for acquiring new skills in dog behaviour just keeps growing. I recently completed an intensive mentorship under a skilled Dog Behaviour Consultant, Lisa Davies at www.pawsitivelycanine.ca.
I am so excited for the new direction of the business and being able to offer compassionate custom private and day-training to my community because like most owners I know the struggle of behaviour challenges. Our private training is in person only and truly caters to your dog's age, behaviour challenges, breed and personality!
Our sniffaris are a joyful sniffing adventure your best friend deserves, right here in our community of New Westminster. We do not just walk your dog, we take them on a "sniffari-style" adventure sprinkling in enrichment, training support with true canine connection in mind. Our doggie clients will tell you that they love our sniffaris with happy eyes and happy tails.
Sniff n'Train Privates
These private training sessions are connection based to really identify what the challenging behaviours are and why they are happening. We will implement strategies to prevent rehearsal of behaviours and coaching to implement a user friendly plan. We know how stressful behavioural issues can be and want to support you through this to give you the confidence to walk your dog with many management tools to make both your life and your beloved dog's life easier.
Day Train n'Sniff
Day Training is ideal for improving many challenging dog behaviours while you are at work. It is less stressful for your dog because we work in your home environment. This service is ideal for crate and pen training, guarding, multi-pet households, reactivity and fear, resource guarding, rescue transitions, and calm behaviour indoors and so much more! We also meet with you to ensure you have the skills transfer over seamlessly.
Sniffari-Style Walks
All sniffari-style walks no matter the package include custom enrichment with treats, basic training support, and an unhurried walk in your dog's choice of direction. This is our most popular service because we pack a lot into the adventure. We also have a lot of fun connecting with you beloved canine. You will see how happy they are with our care!
Meet n'Sniff Walk
Our first meeting is integral to get to know you and your beloved canine making sure we are a good fit. We know first impressions with dogs are key to connection. This is why every "Meet n'Greet Sniff Walk" is in person and is typically an observation walk. This service is complimentary and determines if your dog is a candidate for our sniffari walks or needs daytraining and/or private training.
We currently offer three services. The First and most popular service are our sniffari-style walks with basic training support and enrichment included. The second service is the Day Train n'Sniff Package which allows us to come into your home and work on behaviours while you are at work. The third are our custom private training packages which are available in three and five packs.
